IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE DOWNLOAD!!!
How to perform the update (on principle)
a) Mouse-click with the right button on the desired file link below.
b) "Save Target As..." into the "schulze" folder on the hard-disk.
c) After the download change to the "schulze" folder by "Open Folder".
HERE ARE ADDITIONAL VERY IMPORTANT HINTS
Please use for the download procedure the Internet Explorer or you have to pay attention to the following:
Switch off the option in your operating system which is called "Hide extensions for known file types".
Under Windows Vista or Windows 7 click on: Start, Computer, Organize, Folder and search options, View:
In the line "Hide extensions for known file types" no hook is allowed!
When the hook is visible then you do not see the ending ".txt" when you make e.g. a driver download with the Firefox.
The Firefox browser changes the file name from
schulze-next-II.inf to the name schulze-next-II.inf.txt
BUT: When the above mentioned option is switched on you only see
schulze-next-II.inf though the file is stored as schulze-next-II.inf.txt on your computer.
Windows does search - when drivers shall be installed - the ending .inf and does NOT search for .txt or .inf.txt.
This is the cause that the downloaded driver can not be found on your computer.
